I’m getting overwhelmed with all the gift guides out there, so I just wanted to keep this one really straight and simple. Here are 11 things that I’ve come across and did a double take — or, even screenshot them. While the limit is AU$150 just so I can sneak a few things in there (like a mini leather handbag and costume jewellery), there are still options that are much less than that.

Enjoy, and share your suggestions too!

If it’s costume jewellery, exaggerate the fun factor with oversized shapes like this seriously puffy heart on a bracelet by Roxanne Assoulin.

Find Comfort Hydrating Hand Cream 53ml

And on shapes, this Rare Beauty hand cream is very cute and very giftable.

Take Ivy - Hayashida, Teruyoshi, Ishizu, Shosuke, Kurosu, Toshiyuki, Hasegawa, Hajime | 9781576875506 | Amazon.com.au | Books

I have suggested this before as I bought this for my husband who is minimalist and just doesn’t want more stuff — the Take Ivy book which covers the style of American college students for the Japanese reader, published in 1965. It’s out of print; I got a second hand one on eBay.

This mini blush set from Merit is a crowd-pleaser. I also use these blushes on my eyes for a very light, natural look (I feel like it kind of ‘melds’ the whole face together).

Comme Si socks. You can get it from their website here, or from Pan After in Melbourne.

I’m a sucker for chunky gold chain hardware. It adds so much to your typical leather mini bag — this is from Madewell.

Maison Balzac has become the Australian girl’s go-to gifting destination and for good reason. This vase is a classic shape and size so will hold a single stem (as shown) or a bouquet equally well.

The Fujifilm Instax mini 12 for mini instant photos. When most of our images exist only digitally on our phones, physical photos are basically a novelty.
