I’ve always been into skincare, and I thought I knew skincare until I worked at MECCA. Obviously, I had the opportunity to be exposed to so much more about skincare (thanks to so many people who helped me, you know who you are) and try loads and loads of product (that I purchased myself btw, because it’s such a large company it’s rare to be given product).
YES I know skin is so much about genes as well, and yes overall I have ‘good skin’ because of genes and lifestyle factors that you can’t replicate in a bottle (have always worn SPF, not a massive drinker, have a baby that sleeps well etc etc don’t hate me). BUT I do have eczema that flares up (less so since having a baby, who knows why but it was really bad in my late teens and 20s) so there’s a lot below on what products I use to manage that.
Here’s some photos where I’m not wearing any makeup because I want my skin to be in a good enough situation where I can keep makeup to a minimum. Yes, they are flattering angles; I’m only human.
I’ve put together a list of the products that I love and would buy again. I’ve liked some products but I’m not sure if I’d purchase it again, but these are the ones which are IT. And trust me, there are products that people LOVE and I’m like, meh about it, so, they didn’t make the cut.

This is the moisturiser that everyone at MECCA HQ is obsessed with but might not be so well known to the public.
So much bang for buck at only $45, it’s really nourishing without being so heavy and rich. People are obsessed with it! It deserves so much more attention!
This line is SO underrated… I use it exclusively when my eczema flares up.
I genuinely believe this has changed my skin.

I often find cleansers do the job but afterwards you’re like whatever, much of a muchness, but this one makes your skin feel amazing afterwards.
It’s very internet-y to show before and afters but OMG THIS IS SO GOOD to help ‘sculpt’ your face.
