Melbourne guide 2024: updated

I came, I saw, I ate and I shopped -- with a focus on Fitzroy, Collingwood, Carlton and CBD.

As a Sydneysider who has spent most of my life here, it’s always going to be home.

But having spent a few years in Melbourne, I have to say, on the food/coffee/cultural scene, it does win out.

It is superior.

I’m sorry Sydney, it’s true.

I tried to defend you but returning to Sydney in late 2022, the coffee quality just isn’t there.

I miss neighbourhood…
